WELL DONE TO JUNIOR DRESSAGE RIDERS
Our Junior Dressage Riders have qualified for the National Winter Dressage Championships for the 2nd year!!
The team comprised of Georgina Howell, Ellie Riley, Hannah Francis & Mazie Ransome.
Team Results, Area Winter Dressage, 20th February 2011
A quick guide to the results: If you haven’t looked at these before it can be very confusing, so here is a brief explanation.
- Each arena is judged separately (2 xP18, 2X N24) as a single Area competition, and each competitor is placed within it
- Next to each competitors name on the table, after their score and %mark is their overall placing in their class (Pos. Area)
- The next column shows the placing for only the teams entered for the BRC National qualifiers (Qual) some of the higher placings are the same if no-one from an Area only team scored higher.
- The team points are made up of the 3 best scores in the team. Column A shows the overall Area score, column B the qualifiers only.
- The final 2 columns show the team placings firstly for the overall Area Competition, secondly the qualifiers only. Junior teams are placed separately from Senior teams. There is no qualifier placing for some teams who had a member with an invalid vacc. Record – beware of vets assuring you its OK – they often know the medical, not the Jockey Club facts.
- 2 senior and 1 junior team will qualify for the National Championship. This year the 2 highest placed Senior teams had to be split using the 4th rider.

QUADRILLE SUCCESS AT OLYMPIA!

Bath Quadrille team enjoyed success at Olympia, coming 2nd in the class missing out on 1st by only 1.5points. It was a fantastic experience and once in a lifetime opportunity to warm up with some of the best riders in the world. All the horses were so behaved with the atmosphere and everything went to plan after all the hard work put in by all the team and their helpers (that really can't be thanked enough!) NATIONAL WINS – Bath riders are Double National Champions!
Bath riders Kim Walker & Georgina Bryce are National Champions in pairs dressage – They travelled to Lincoln to do pairs dressage in early September & to Aintree at the end of September to do pairs to music dressage – they won both competitions by a good margin. Georgina and Otto were also placed in the Riding Test Class. Kim and Max were 3rd in their Novice with points class. A great weekend was had and they are looking forward to continuing this success in 2011!!!

Congratulations
Congratulations to MAIZIE RANSOME who has qualified for the Junior Open Festival of the Hunter 2 Phase Championships 2011- at the recent Urchinwood event. WELL DONE.
Overall winner – Area Open Champion is Bath senior rider Nikki Cox – Fantastic result the only horse and rider to complete the course with no jumping or time penalties
Other congratulations that day to:
- Jenny Watkins 2nd in the 75cm class
- Sally Gaden & Polly Cornwell did very well in the 85cm pairs to be 3rd at Area 4th overall, a very good result as the horses and riders had never ridden together as a pair until the day. Alice & Lucy Harris rode round the 85cm pairs for 7th place.
- The 85/90cm team of Angela Dobbins, Polly Cornwell, Sarah Ebbs & Sally Gaden did very well to come 3rd in the teams. A great result for some new team Bath riders.
